The St. Louis Black Repertory Company is performing at The Equity Exchange. The Black Rep will perform “Elephant in the Room: Ethnicity, Diversity, Gender & Culture” on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. The “Elephant in the Room” takes a closer look at obvious truths that go ignored or unaddressed and moves beyond simple tolerance to fully embracing and celebrating our differences. The performance seeks to offer concrete ways to engage the audience in discussion, reflection and action.
An impressive line-up of business leaders who will participate in The Equity Exchange Business Panel on Thursday, July 28. Panelists will give their perspectives on questions like - Is the world of work really and truly changing? If so, what kind of education and skills are required of workers to succeed in this new world? Is there a need to alter our education systems in order to “build better students” and ensure that workers have the necessary education and skills? They will expound upon qualities they look for in prospects, and provide suggestions on how to enhance students’ school experience to better prepare them for the demands of the work force, especially in the context of cultural, global, and intercultural competency.

The Equity Exchange is an intimate cohort of experienced administrators, staff, teachers and practitioners in public and private schools.
Combining theory and practice, facilitators will share methods that strengthen participant abilities to lead strategic initiatives toward systemic change.
