Ryan Gist
Ryan M. Gist is an educator, administrator, and restorative practices leader with over 15 years of experience in youth development. He currently serves as Director of Restorative Justice and Practices at Logos School in St. Louis, a therapeutic setting supporting students with mental health needs. Ryan’s work has spanned outdoor education, nonprofit leadership, and school-based programs focused on underserved communities. Grounded in relationship-building, he partners closely with parents—creating supportive spaces, sharing practical resources, and helping families grow their capacity to advocate for and champion their children, especially in navigating mental health challenges.
A passionate equity practitioner, Ryan has led and supported racial equity initiatives throughout his career. He currently chairs Logos School’s Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and is committed to fostering belonging and meaningful community among students, families, and stakeholders. He is also an inaugural member of the Voices of Change facilitation team.
Ryan holds a Master’s in Education from The Citadel and is a sought-after speaker, mentor, and facilitator who brings people together across differences to build shared purpose and lasting impact. He lives in St. Louis with his wife, Kelly, and their two sons. Ryan is guided by the wisdom of Octavia E. Butler: “All that you touch you change. All that you change changes you.”
